for UBE2V1a antibody (pAb)Background
UBE2N and its variants UBE2V1α and β are members of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family, and the homologs of yeast UBC13. The UBE2V1/UBE2N heterodimer catalyzes the synthesis of non-canonical poly-ubiquitin chains that are linked through Lys-63. This type of poly-ubiquitination activates IKK (IKKα, IKKβ Clone 10AG2, IKKβ Clone 10A9B6, IKKγ) and does not seem to involve protein degradation by the proteasome. UBE2V1 plays a role in the activation of NFκB (NFκB p50, NFκB p65) mediated by IL-1β, TNF, TRAF6 and TRAF2.
for UBE2V1a antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This UBE2V1a antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 31-49 of human UBE2V1a.
for UBE2V1a antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This UBE2V1a antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 3 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for UBE2V1a antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.2% gelatin and 0.05% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for UBE2V1a antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's HeLa whole-cell extract (Catalog No. 40050) can be used as a positive control for UBE2V1α antibody.
UBE2V1α pAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of UBE2V1α by Western blot. The analysis was performed using HeLa whole-cell extract and UBE2V1α pAb at a 2 µg/ml dilution.
for UBE2V1a antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
