for HMGN1 antibody (pAb)Background
HMGN1 (High mobility group protein N1, HMG14) is a non-histone chromatin protein that binds to the inner side of the nucleosomal DNA, potentially altering the interaction between the DNA and the histone octamer. HMG proteins HMGs share functional motifs that bind specific DNA structures (minor grooves) and induce conformational changes without specificity for target sequences. HMGN1 may be involved in maintaining chromatin in an open, active conformation.
for HMGN1 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This HMGN1 antibody was raised against a peptide within the C-terminal region of human HMGN1.
for HMGN1 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This HMGN1 antibody has been validated for use in Western blot (1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution).
Addition of 0.05% Tween-20 in blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot.
for HMGN1 antibody (pAb)Buffer
Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 32 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol, and 0.035% sodium azide.
for HMGN1 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's K-562 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 40050) can be used as a positive control for Sp1 antibody.
HMGN1 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.
Detection of HMGN1 by Western blot analysis. Whole cell extract of HeLa cells (20 µg) probed with HMGN1 antibody at a dilution of 1:500.
for HMGN1 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -20°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
