for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Background
MyD88 is an adapter protein involved in the Toll-like receptor and IL-1 receptor signaling pathway in the innate immune response. MyD88 acts via IRAK1, IRAK2 and TRAF6, leading to NFκB activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. MyD88 increases IL-8 transcription, and may be involved in myeloid differentiation.
for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 233-248 of human MyD88.
for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This MyD88 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (2 - 4 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's Jurkat nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36014) can be used as a positive control for MyD88 antibody.
MyD88 pAb tested by Western blot.
MyD88 detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using Jurkat whole-cell extract and MyD88 pAb at a 2 µg/ml dilution.
for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
for MyD88 antibody (pAb)Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt.
This product is for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures.
