for TLR2 antibody (pAb)Background
TLR2 – Toll-Like receptor 2 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family that plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize specific molecular features associated with pathogens, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. Many of the TLRs heterodimerize with each other to modulate receptor function. TLR2 expression is elevated after exposure to both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. TLR2 forms heterodimers with TLR1, TLR6, and possibly TLR10.
for TLR2 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This antibody was raised against a mixture of synthetic peptides corresponding to amino acid residues 180-196, 353-370, and 473-489 of human TLR2.
for TLR2 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This TLR2 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 2 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for TLR2 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for TLR2 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Ramos cell extracts can be used as a positive control for TLR2 antibody.
TLR2 pAb tested by Western blot.
TBK1 detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using TLR2 pAb at a 2 µg/ml dilution and 20 µg Ramos nuclear extract.
for TLR2 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
