Background

NAP1L1 (Nucleosome assembly protein 1-like 1; NAP1-Related Protein, NRP) is a member of the NAP family of histone chaperones. Histone chaperones are involved in chromatin assembly following DNA replication and may play a role in modulating chromatin formation and contribute to the regulation of cell proliferation.

Application Notes

Recombinant NAP1L1 is suitable for in vitro chromatin assembly and protein-protein interaction. This product was manufactured as described in Protein Details. Where possible, Active Motif has developed functional or activity assays for recombinant proteins. Additional characterization such as enzyme kinetic activity assays, inhibitor screening or other biological activity assays may not have been performed for every product. All available data for a given product is shown on the lot-specific Technical Data Sheet.

Protein Details

Recombinant NAP1L1 protein (accession number NP_004528.1) was expressed in E. coli cells and contains an N-terminal His-Tag with a molecular weight of 47.5 kDa. The recombinant protein is >80% pure by SDS-PAGE.

Recombinant NAP1L1 protein gel.
NAP1L1 protein was run on an 8% SDS-PAGE gel and stained with Coomassie blue.

Storage

Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
