Applications

for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
Validated Applications:
WB: 1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This IRF-2 antibody was raised against a peptide within the C-terminal region of human IRF-2.
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Buffer
Purified IgG in PBS with 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)References

IRF-2 pAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of IRF-2 by Western blot analysis. Nuclear extract of HL-60 cells (30 µg) was probed with IRF-2 pAb at a 1:500 dilution.
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Background
IRF-2 (interferon regulatory factor 2) specifically binds to the upstream regulatory region of type I IFN and IFN-inducible MHC class I genes (the interferon consensus sequence (ICS)) and represses those genes. Also acts as an activator for several genes including H4 and IL7. Constitutively binds to the ISRE promoter to activate IL7. Involved in cell cycle regulation through binding the site II (HiNF-M) promoter region of H4 and activating transcription during cell growth. Antagonizes IRF1 transcriptional activation.
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's HL-60 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36072) can be used as a positive control for IRF-2 antibody.
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Storage
Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Upon receipt, unconjugated antibodies may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 years. Fluorophore- & enzyme-conjugated antibodies should be stored at 4°C. Fluorophore-conjugated antibodies should be protected from light. Keep reagents on ice when not in storage; to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting items that will be stored frozen into single-use fractions prior to freezing.
for IRF-2 antibody (pAb)Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt.
This product is for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures.
