SND1 (staphylococcal nuclease and tudor domain containing 1) functions as a transcriptional coactivator and a modulator of RNA metabolism. As a transcriptional coactivator, it acts as a bridging factor between STAT6 and the basal transcription factors, plays a role in PIM1 regulation of MYB activity and is a transcriptional coactivator for the Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 2 (EBNA2). SND-1 has been identified as part of the RISC complex (RNA-induced silencing complex) and interacts with Ago-2. It is involved in the degradation of hyper-edited inosine containing microRNA precursors as part of the RNA interference pathway.

Bridging Antibody to Improve ChIP, MeDIP and IP

Some isotypes of mouse IgG antibodies do not bind well to protein G-conjugated agarose/magnetic beads, which are commonly used in ChIP, MeDIP and IP experiments. Capture efficiency can be improved by including an anti-mouse IgG bridging antibody because it binds with a strong affinity to both the protein G beads and the mouse IgG antibody. By increasing the affinity of the mouse primary antibody for the protein G bead, the Bridging Antibody for Mouse IgG can help improve the results of all ChIP, MeDIP and IP experiments that use SND1 antibody (mAb).
