Background
PRDM6 (PR Domain Containing 6) is a putative histone methyltransferase that acts as a transcriptional repressor of smooth muscle gene expression. PRDM6 can regulate the phenotypic plasticity of smooth muscle cells by suppressing differentiation and maintaining the proliferative potential of vascular SMCs. It also plays a role in endothelial cells by inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation, survival and differentiation.

Protein Details
Recombinant PRDM6 protein (accession number NP_001129711.1) was expressed in Sf9 cells and contains an N-terminal FLAG-Tag with a molecular weight of 64.4 kDa. The recombinant protein is >75% pure by SDS-PAGE.

Storage
Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
